    Scholarship Review Process

The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

    • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
    • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
    • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
    • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
    • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
    • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
    • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
    • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
    • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
    • There is no available contact information

If you believe a scholarship has been published in error, please reach out to [email protected] and we’ll take a look!

    * There are certain exceptions to this, for example if the sponsoring organization is a major corporation or nonprofit with its own scholarship application system.
** Lead generation scholarships will require students to sign up for an app or website and require minimal (if any) application requirements.
***Idea harvesting scholarships will require students to submit blog posts or other materials that companies may use for marketing purposes.

    How to win business scholarships

Now you’ve got a great list of business scholarships at your fingertips that you can begin applying to. But before you begin your essays, it can be useful to take a moment for some reflection. Try sitting down and brainstorming the answers to a few questions to give you some perspective as to the approach you’ll take in your applications. Here are some ideas for questions to ask yourself:

    • How do I hope to change the world with my career in business?
    • What experiences inspired me to pursue business?
    • What have I accomplished so far that demonstrates my future potential in the field?
    • Where do I see myself ten years from now?
    • Who inspired me to pursue business and what about their story resonated with me?

As you write the answers to these questions, don’t worry about word limits, succinctness, or even grammar or punctuation! You can write in bullet points, paragraphs, or whatever works best for you. Once you’ve got them all down on the page, you can use this as a resource when you begin your essays. That way, once you have the prompt in front of you, you can focus on how to make your essay powerfully-worded, and you already have the content laid out.

    Writing effective scholarship essays

Writing a good scholarship essay is key to finding success in your application. We’ve got a host of resources to help you succeed in this endeavor. These include guides on how to start a scholarship essay (with examples!) and how to write an essay about yourself. Here are a few more guides to check out:

    Resources for business students

As a business student, you probably already know that networking is a crucial ingredient for success in the business world. One great way to start networking as a student is to join student organizations that connect you with students from other schools. We’ve collected a few different organizations business students might consider joining to help advance their education and careers (some even offer their own scholarships!)

    Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor society for finance information students and professionals. If you qualify for membership, you’ll have to pay a one-time fee and then you’ll have lifetime access. This membership comes with a host of benefits. First off, it looks impressive on your resume! Beyond that, it connects you to mentors around the world and provides a great spread of networking opportunities.

    Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international business honor society with connections all around the world.
