Are you a Kentucky resident who has enrolled, or been accepted for enrollment, in an approved, in-state program of study that leads to an industry recognized certificate, diploma, Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a high-demand workforce sector or comprehensive transition and postsecondary (CTP) program? If so, you may be eligible for the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards varying amounts of money to multiple eligible students who are pursuing a degree in one of the selected “qualifying areas” for the year. For the 2023-2024 year, these areas include Advanced Manufacturing, Business/Information Technology, Construction, Healthcare, and Transportation/Logistics. KHEAA is the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, a state agency established in 1966 to improve students’ access to higher education. They offer FAFSA verification and student default prevention services to higher education institutions across the country. KHEAA also provides state aid such as the Kentucky Education Excellence Scholarship (KEES) program, the College Access Program Grant (CAP), the Kentucky Tuition Grant (KTG) and other scholarship, grant and work-study programs.
