The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

The Keyera Energy-Peter J. Renton Memorial Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for Alberta residents and high school graduates who are pursuing a degree or diploma in fields related to the oil and gas industry. This includes (but is not limited to) business, communications, sciences, engineering, technical programs, and information technology. To be eligible, applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, reside in Alberta, and have themselves (or have a spouse or parent who has) maintained permanent residence in Canada for at least twelve (12) consecutive months immediately prior to commencing post-secondary studies. Applicants must also be undergraduate underclassmen and be enrolled full-time in a publicly funded post-secondary institution in Alberta. About Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund

The Heritage Fund is Alberta's main long-term savings fund. The Fund was established in 1976 to collect a portion of Alberta's non-renewable resource revenue for future generations.
