Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS)
The Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) is a series of merit-based scholarships for Louisiana Students who attend Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) approved high schools. For each award there are specific requirements for things like minimum GPA and minimum ACT scores. There are four different scholarships included in this program:
GO Grant
The GO Grant is a need-based grant for Louisiana residents. Students will receive this grant as long as they are enrolled at least half-time and receive the Federal Pell Grant.
Alabama tuition reciprocity agreements
Louisiana is a part of the Southern Regional Education Board Academic Common Market, which allows students going to public institutions to out-of-state schools and pay in-state tuition, if their degree is not offered in their home state. These tuition discounts allow students in Louisiana to attend institutions in the following states, and vice versa:
