Samson Canadian Scholarship annually awards $7,500 to multiple, full-time post-secondary engineering (or related disciplines) students who hold a minimum 2.5 GPA and want to pursue a career in the steel industry. To apply for the scholarship, interested students must submit a resume, a two-page essay about why they are interested in a career in the steel industry, 1-5 letters of recommendation, and an academic transcript. The AIST Foundation Steel Intern Premier Scholarship, worth between $7,500 and $12,000 USD, is a one-year scholarship awarded to up to 50 engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, or safety or industrial hygiene students each year. Applicants must be United States, Canadian, or Mexican citizens attending a four-year undergraduate or graduate program and be willing to commit to a paid summer internship at a North American steel-producing company or steel-related company in the summer following the scholarship deadline.
