Nebraska Opportunity Grant (NOG):
The Nebraska Opportunity Grant (NOG) is a program for Nebraska students, and it is awarded based on the students’ Student Aid Index (SAI). Students will automatically be considered for this grant for most schools when they fill out their FAFSA, but some institutions do require an additional application.
Community College Gap Assistance Program:
The Community College Gap Assistance Program aims to encourage Nebraska students to pursue higher education in high-need fields by providing financial assistance to low income students. There are 13 different fields that are considered to be high-need for this program, some examples being healthcare, renewable energy, construction, and education.
