To help families who have been affected by such tragedies, the Kids’ Chance of Nevada Scholarship was established to help the children of workers who have been left badly injured or deceased in workplace incidents. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be the dependent of a worker left seriously injured or deceased in a work-related accident or occupational disease covered under Nevada Law. Applicants must also be between the ages of 16 and 25 and have been accepted to or be enrolled in a college or technical school.
