Top Nevada Scholarships in 2021
The following scholarships are for students planning on earning their higher education degree in Nevada!
Caesars Nevada Team Member Scholarship
- Eligibility: High school seniors of full-time employees of Caesars Entertainment in Nevada for three consecutive years. Must have at least a 3.2 GPA and 1100 SAT or 24 ACT score.
- Amount: $2,500
- Deadline: April 1, 2022
The Chief Master Sergeant Gerald L. Larson Nevada Air National Guard Scholarship
- Eligibility: Active enlisted members of the Nevada Air National Guard or dependents of active members attending the University of Nevada, Reno with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA.
- Amount: $1,000
- Deadline: April 1, 2022
Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship
- Eligibility: College students entering senior/last year majoring in elementary or secondary education with a college GPA of 3.5 and a commendable record of community service.
- Amount: $5,000
Kenny C. Guinn Memorial Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students entering their senior year of college intending to work in elementary/secondary education.
- Amount: $4,500 per year
Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) Las Vegas Chapter Scholarship
- Eligibility: Woman studying for a career in the Hospitality Industry (interior design, hospitality management, culinary, architecture, etc.). Enrolled in a graduate, 2-year, or 4-year program in Nevada or Utah. Have a 3.0 GPA.
- Amount: Amount varies
Aloha Scholarship
- Eligibility: College bound seniors in Clark County, NV pursuing any accredited degree
- Amount: $500
- Deadline: January 31, 2022
Nevada’s Otto Huth Scholarship
- Eligibility: About to age out, or have already aged out, of foster care in the state of Nevada. Seeking support for post-high school education within the United States. Apply before turning 21 years old. Have a 2.0 GPA.
- Amount: $10,000 annually, up to $40,000 total
- Deadline: April 15, 2022
Public Education Fund Nevada Scholarships
- Eligibility: Wide variety of scholarships available for high school, college, and trade school students across Nevada
- Amount: Varies

The Japan Exchange & Teaching Program Alumni Association of Northern California (JETAANC) Scholarship
- Eligibility: Possess a sincere interest in Japan, demonstrated by at least one year of study or related activity. Be a high school senior living in Monterey, Kings, Tulane, or Inyo county and all California counties north of them, as well as all counties in Nevada.
- Amount: $2,500
- Deadline: Expected in April 2022
Foster Children Education Scholarship
- Eligibility: Be, or have been, in foster care in the state of Nevada. Have financial need. Been accepted to an accredited 2-year or 4-year school, or certificate program at a trade school or vocational school. Agree to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Amount: $1,000
- Deadline: April 30, 2022
James S. McPhee Memorial Scholarships
- Eligibility: Member in good standing of the Nevada Library Association and planning to study library science. Be eligible for admission to an American Library Association accredited graduate library science program.
- Amount: $500
- Deadline: Expected to be April 2022
John R. Stockman Scholarship
- Eligibility: High school senior in Washoe, Douglas, Carson City, Storey, Lyon, or Churchill counties, or at South Lake Tahoe High School. Have a minimum 3.2 high school GPA. Have a minimum 1200 SAT or 22 ACT score.
- Amount: $5,000
- Deadline: March 1, 2022
Ron and Linda Smith Family Scholarship
- Eligibility: Northern Nevada residents attending Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada College, or Great Basin College
- Amount: $1,000
- Deadline: April 30, 2022
Nevada Bow Hunters Association Scholarship
- Eligibility: Nevada resident, in good standing with the NFAA (Nevada Field Archery Association), and enrolled in higher education.
- Amount: $1,000
- Deadline: Expected to be May 30, 2022
Nevada Promise Scholarship
- Eligibility: Nevada residents attending community college at CSN, GBC, TMCC, or WNC. Have a high school diploma or GED by June 15. Be less than 20 years old. Must not have earned a previous bachelor’s degree. Meet all program deadlines and enroll in at least 12 credit hours.
- Amount: Up to 3 years’ tuition
- Deadline: October 31
UNLV Rebel Scholarship for Freshmen
- Eligibility: Automatically considered upon admission to UNLV
- Amount: $1,800 per year

On October 1st of every year, the FAFSA opens. Nevada students should apply as soon as possible to be considered for the Silver State Opportunity Grant. The general deadline is March 1, including for the Nevada Promise Scholarships.
