The Cady McDonnell Memorial Scholarship is offered annually through the National Society of Professional Surveyors Foundation (NSPSF) to support female students pursuing a degree in geospatial sciences. Legal residents of select states (Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming) who are enrolled in a 2 or 4-year surveying or related degree program are eligible to apply. Along with a $10 NSPS student membership, applicants must submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal letter, and proof of residency. The American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) is a professional membership society for the spatial data information industry. American Congress on Surveying and Mapping's members include three primary organizations (NSPS, AAGS and GLIS), whose professionals include surveying and mapping professionals such as surveyors, cartographers, geodesists, and other spatial data information related professionals. ACSM and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) have proposed to merge.
