Are you a high school senior who is about to age out of foster care or who has already aged out of foster care in the state of Nevada and are seeking support for post-high school education at an institution located within the United States? If so, consider applying for the Foster Children Education Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship is awarded to multiple students who have been accepted to post-secondary institutions and who were formerly in (or are about to age out of) foster care in Nevada. The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, established in 1998, is a nonprofit that has distributed more than $169 million in grants and scholarships from over 250 charitable funds to strengthen their home state. The Community Foundation serves as a community leader, a permanent charitable resource, and a philanthropic advisor in charitable giving. Their core work on behalf of their donors and the communities of Northern Nevada is philanthropic advising, grantmaking, charitable asset investment management, leadership, and community engagement.
