Experience

Before becoming the content director at Scholarships360, Maria was an educational technology and first-year college writing instructor for 10 years. Her educational interests include blended and flipped learning, digital communication, and utilizing media and web tools to facilitate student engagement. During her time in higher education, Maria presented at the both the 2020 and 2017 Annual Teaching with Technology Showcase: Excellence in Action for NJEDge. She also conducted blended/flipped learning and educational technology integration workshops, including for the New Jersey Writer’s Alliance (NJWA).

Maria was a 2020 Heterodox Academy (HxA) Writing Fellow. The Heterodox Academy is a non-profit advocacy group of academics working to increase viewpoint diversity on college campuses.
