Each year, the Tang Scholarship awards up to $60,000 (split over four years) to Bay Area Asian/Pacific Islander college students who identify as LGBTQ+ and are involved in the LGBT community. To qualify, applicants must be from one of the nine Bay Area counties, including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano.
