Are you a graduate student pursuing a career in economics or another social science? If so, you might be interested in applying for the Hsiao Memorial Social Sciences Scholarship! The scholarship is open to graduate students pursuing a social sciences/economics degree. Preference will be given to those with Asian heritage and who study/research topics that benefit those in economic need, but neither is required.  The scholarship is offered by the Asian Pacific Fund, a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California. They look to strengthen the Asian and Pacific Islander community by supporting vulnerable members through philanthropy. The program is in honor of Liang-Lin Hsiao who was a professor of economics at Indiana State University. Every year, the scholarship awards $1,000 to help a lucky recipient cover tuition and other educational costs.
