This scholarship is awarded annually to students who are interested in creating and facilitating a program that will enhance awareness of topics relevant to Jewish life, culture, or history. In addition to the program budget, winners also receive a $1,000 scholarship. Applying for this scholarship isn’t too involved - you’ll just need to complete the online application form including your proposal and some additional academic documents. ASU offers an array of scholarships to students at all academic levels on an annual basis. While scholarship programs and amounts vary, students are only expected to submit one application with all required documentation. By submitting just one application, you could be in the running for nine scholarships each worth at least $500! Many of the scholarships are targeted toward graduate students. The "Laszlo Orszagh Distinguished Award in American Studies" is open to Ph.D. and Terminal Degree holders interested in teaching post-secondary courses and assisting in curriculum development at Hungarian universities. Associate and full professors with at least ten years of graduate teaching experience will be given preference. Applications will be accepted from any discipline, so long as they relate to American studies. Selected scholars must agree to teach one lecture or seminar course per semester at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
