Are you a Muslim-American high school senior with impressive leadership and community service experiences? If so, consider applying for the Dr. Abdulmunim A. Shakir scholarship! This scholarship is open to college-bound Muslim-American high school seniors and offered by the ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), an organization founded by Dr. Shakir who dedicated himself to education and working with inner city youth. He worked to introduce students to Islam and the Arabic language and created this scholarship fund in order to support freshmen students in their first year of higher education. Each year, twenty scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership experience and volunteer service. If you’re passionate about pursuing higher education and looking for some help to fund your degree, we encourage you to apply!
