Established by the Hammond family to honor the memory of Kristofor J. Hammond's life, integrity, volunteerism, athleticism, and love of music, the Kristofor J. Hammond Scholarship annually awards $2,000 to one (1) graduating senior at Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville, Indiana. Applicants must also be current residents of Hancock County, Indiana, plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a profession that furthers the well-being of others including political science, social services, and journalism; and have a seventh-semester minimum GPA of 3.0.
Recipients will be chosen for their demonstrated commitment to volunteerism, and commitment to improving the lives of others.
