    Do you currently work in public finance and are attending graduate school part-time? If so, consider applying for the Betty Jo Harker Professional Development Scholarship! The scholarship is open to part-time graduate students who have worked for at least two years in state/local government finance and plan to continue doing so. The scholarship is offered by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), a Chicago-based organization dedicated to "advancing excellence in public finance." Since 1906, they have represented multitudes of finance officials throughout the U.S. and Canada. Since 2010, this scholarship has awarded four applicants $10,000 to go towards their schooling, every year.
