Top 120 TV and Radio Broadcasting Scholarships in July 2024

Are you a high school junior or senior with a demonstrated interest in communications? If so, the Speak Up! Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards $2,000 each to five (5) high school upperclassmen who have participated in classes/clubs in the following fields: Journalism/Mass Communications (including Broadcast, Radio, Newspaper), Marketing/PR, Yearbook, Literary Magazine, Public Speaking (including Debate Club, Mock Trial, Model United Nations), or Visual Communications (including Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Video/AV). Every year, the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) offers a variety of scholarships that award up to $4,000 to multiple students attending two- and four-year BEA institutions to pursue a career in any type of electronic media. To apply, students must submit a completed application, two letters of recommendation (at least one must be written by an electronic media professor and the other may be from either a professor or an industry professional), and recent transcripts. The BEA Founders Award is open to students enrolled in a BEA 2-year member institution or graduates of 2-year schools now enrolled in a BEA 4-year institution. Applicants may be studying any electronic media area, and must submit a completed application, two letters of recommendation (at least one must be written by an electronic media professor and the other may be from either a professor or an industry professional), and recent transcripts. Each year, two recipients will be chosen to earn $1,500 each toward their post-secondary education.
