The WISE (Women in STEM Excel) Scholarship was created by Dr. Alexander Sobel to support, empower, and encourage women in Washington to pursue an education in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics. To apply, students must submit a completed application form, an essay, and a letter of recommendation. The selected student will be required to furnish information necessary to issue a 1099 tax form, including social security number, as part of the process for dispersing scholarship monies.
