Frequently asked questions about scholarships for minorities

Who is eligible for minority scholarships?

Each scholarship meant for minorities will define exactly what it means by a minority student. Sometimes, this can refer to race, other times disabilities, other times sexual preference or identity. Oftentimes, it encompasses each of these categories. You should check the rules of a scholarship to learn who they accept as applicants.

What does “minority scholarship” mean?

A minority scholarship is any scholarship that only accepts applicants who are part of some kind of minority group. The type of group they accept can vary widely. Minorities can exist in many different forms, and it is up to each scholarship provider to decide which type of minority they are aiming their scholarship towards.

What GPA do I need to earn a minority scholarship?
