The scholarship is presented by the Restaurant Association of Maryland to honor the life of Eddie Hermond. Eddie was a longtime manager of Victoria Gastro Pub, Manor Hill Tavern, and an active member of the Maryland National Guard who lost his life in the 2018 flood in Ellicott City while trying to save the life of another.
