The Marcia S. Harris Legacy Fund Scholarship annually awards $1,500 to multiple Maryland residents who are currently in their final year of high school or enrolled in college and are passionate about pursuing a career in the food service industry. Post-secondary instructors who teach culinary arts or hospitality management courses are also eligible to apply. To be eligible, all applicants must be pursuing hospitality-related coursework. The scholarship is presented by the Restaurant Association of Maryland in memory of Marcia S. Harris, former CEO of the Restaurant Association of Maryland for more than 20 years. Applicants should possess Marcia’s same qualities of passion and dedication and have a strong desire to improve the food service industry through the personal pursuit of professionalism.
