Tacuna Systems is proud to announce the return of our Women in STEM Empowerment Scholarship program. For 2026, we will offer one award to a qualified candidate who attends or is admitted to a U.S. or Canadian university. Driven by our commitment to promote inclusive representation in STEM fields, our scholarship aims to empower women pursuing higher education in science and technology, fostering their increased participation in these industries. This scholarship invites applicants to share their experiences with a STEM-related research project or activity that has shaped or reflected their academic interests, rather than focusing solely on academics. As part of your application submission, we will require you to create a brief video of yourself showcasing your involvement in a STEM-related project. Limit this video to around 3 minutes in length. Things to consider while creating your video: Aspirations – What are your general career aspirations and how has this project influenced them? Passion – Why is this project important to you? Learning – What did you take away from this project? Application – How does this project relate to the real world? Improvement – What changes, if any, would you make for better results? Originality – Do you have valuable insight or ideas that industry leaders may not have thought about? Representation – What are your general thoughts, related to the project or not, on improving women’s representation in STEM? How might you inspire others? The MIT THINK Scholars Program is an educational outreach initiative offered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that promotes high school student-led innovation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. THINK accepts research project proposals from high school students across the US, providing mentorship and funding to a select few to make their ideas a reality. The program is led by a team of undergraduate students as part of MIT TechX, the largest technology club at the Institute. Full-time high school students apply to the program by submitting a proposal for any novel science, technology, or engineering idea, and may receive up to $1,000 in funding to carry out their project. In addition, winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to MIT and weekly mentorship meetings with MIT student mentors. If you're a high school student with a great STEM-related research idea, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.Show Less
