The Recognition Award in Medical, Urban, & Veterinary Entomology celebrates exceptional contributions to medical, urban, and veterinary entomology. This includes research, teaching, outreach/extension, and service in the study of arthropods that impact human health, livestock, and companion animals. Sponsored by S.C. Johnson, the award includes an inscribed plaque and a monetary prize determined by the endowment’s interest. To be eligible, applicants must be current MUVE members who have significantly advanced entomology in these fields. They must also be nominated (by anyone) to be considered for the scholarship.
