    CarMax tuition reimbursement will reimburse employees up to $800 per approved course with a maximum of $2,500 per year for full-time associates and $1,500 for part-time associates. These funds can be used for the cost of tuition as well as books and required course-related fees. Please be advised that we could not find an updated amount online, so the actual amount may differ. 

    It is important to note that employees must earn a C-minus or better in order to receive reimbursement.

    1. Find a job at a nearby CarMax

    To be able to receive CarMax tuition reimbursement, you need to be a part-time or full-time employee at CarMax! So, how do you score a job at CarMax? 

    To begin, look on CarMax’s career website for any open positions near you. CarMax has a range of roles you can fill. Some examples of categories for available positions include: 

    • Auto technician and services
    • Contact center
    • Corporate and auto finance
    • Technology, product and data science
    • Fleet driver and transportation

    Since CarMax is a big company with differing roles available for employees, be sure to select something that you are interested in! If you are unsure of what you want to do, CarMax gives tailored job recommendations to individuals who visit their career website based on their interests.  

    Remember, full-time employees receive the most tuition reimbursement eligiblity so be ready to select a position you will be happy and qualified in! 

    2. Land the job and work either part-time or full-time

    Now that you have gone through the work of receiving a job offer, it is time to decide if you will be a part-time or full-time employee. 

    Part-time employees will be eligible for up to $1,500 in tuition reimbursement per year.

    Full-time employees will be eligible for up to $2,500 in tuition reimbursement per year.
