Amount of tuition assistance available
AT&T will reimburse employees for approved courses and degree opportunities. Full-time employees will be eligible to receive up to $5,250 per year as long as they have worked a minimum of 6 months with the company. Part-time employees who work 20 hours or more will be eligible to receive up to $3,937.50 per year. Part-time employees who work less than 20 hours will be eligible to receive $2,625 per year.
Step-by-step guide to get tuition reimbursement at AT&T
1. Find a job at a nearby AT&T
Visit AT&T’s career website in order to view open positions. If you input a location it will provide you with open positions near that area.
Positions open at AT&T can vary from human resources, marketing and much more. All of these positions whether part-time or full-time are eligible for tuition reimbursement. You just need to be an employee at AT&T for a minimum of 6 months of Net Credit Service (NCS).
Even if there are no positions open in your location range, there is no need to worry! You can sign up for job alerts or go in person to a nearby AT&T location to speak with a manager regarding your interest. Doing both will keep you ahead of the competition and ensure you will be the first to know about job openings in your area!

2. Choose an eligible degree program
AT&T wants their employees to have access to affordable education. The nice thing about AT&T is that they want their employees to gain degrees in an area that would benefit and further their careers.

In order to be considered for tuition reimbursement you must complete courses at one of the following:
- A college, university, business school, technical school or secondary school that meets the U.S. Department of Education’s requirements for an eligible program and has been assigned a program code on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- An institution accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC)
- Course provider of approved Nanodegree programs
The approved nanodegree programs are for AT&T Southwest Represented Employees only and include the following programs provided by Udacity

- Artificial Intelligence Engineer
- Become an IOS Developer
- Business Analyst
- Data Analyst
- Front-End Web Developer
- Full Stack Web Developer
- Introduction to Programming

Therefore, you can choose any of the above options to complete your education and still receive tuition assistance from AT&T. The company recommends, but does not require that you choose an online program in order to still be able to successfully work at AT&T and manage your new educational workload.
