State grants in Utah
Utah Promise Grant:
The Utah Promise Grant provides financial assistance to Utah students who demonstrate financial need. Participating institutions in Utah include public institutions, public technical colleges, and private institutions. To apply, students go directly through their institution’s financial aid office.
Opportunity Scholarship:
The Opportunity Scholarship is a merit scholarship that encourages Utah students to take advanced courses in high school. In order to be eligible, students must have at least a 3.3 GPA and complete one advanced course in each of the following subjects;
- Math
- Science
- Language Arts
Utah tuition reciprocity agreements
Tuition Reciprocity allows students to receive tuition discounts by going to school in partner states. Utah is included in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), but partnerships are somewhat limited.
