State grants in Idaho

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship:

For Idaho students attending eligible institutions, the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship is a need based scholarship that can be applied to through the FAFSA. Unfortunately, for the 2023-2024 academic year community colleges are no longer considered eligible for this scholarship. 

Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship:

The Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship is a merit based scholarship for Idaho high school seniors. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have a GPA of at least 2.8, write a 500 word personal essay, and submit letters of recommendation. 

GEAR UP Idaho Scholarship:

The GEAR UP Idaho Scholarship is for high school students graduating from certain school districts in Idaho. In order to be eligible, students must plan on going to a participating institution. The amount awarded may differ each year based on available funds and the number of applicants. 

Idaho tuition reciprocity agreements

Idaho is a part of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), which gives students the opportunity to pay discounted tuition by attending participating institutions in partner states.

Does Idaho have tuition reciprocity?
