The "Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics" grants the selected Chair the ability to conduct research in their area of specialization and contribute to the Hanken School of Economic's knowledge dissemination to academia and the corporate world. In addition, the Chair will teach and guest lecture at the Hanken School of Economics, and on occasion, other Finnish universities. Through this, the Distinguished Chair is encouraged to network and create linkages throughout Finland. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree, and be full or associate professors. This “Fulbright-National Science Foundation Distinguished Scholar Award” is open to Ph.D. and Terminal Degree holders interested in both conducting research and teaching courses in cybersecurity and critical infrastructure at select Icelandic universities. Selected scholar(s) may conduct research and/or teach a course at the university level or deliver seminars/workshops. Research projects must focus on cybersecurity or critical infrastructure related to any of these areas: (1) pure and applied research, (2) research coordination, (3) transitioning research into practice, (4) workforce, curriculum, and capacity development, (5) enterprise risk management, or (6) law, policy, and international relations. Scholars may also participate in consulting, developing training curricula, and assisting with evaluations. The NSHSS Foundation STEM Scholarship is for recently graduated (in the most recent, completed academic year) high school seniors who belong to an underrepresented group and have a demonstrated desire to major in or pursue a degree in STEM or a related field. The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students studying one of SMART's ~24 approved STEM disciplines. The Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship Program is funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) and offers STEM students educational and workforce opportunities. Their mission is to “inspire, cultivate, and develop” STEM students to develop their future careers. In addition to having their full tuition expenses paid and the opportunity to partake in research internships, recipients are awarded a stipend worth between $30,000 and $46,000 a year. However, bear in mind that winners must also commit to post-graduation employment with the Department of Defense.
