If so, the Career Development Program-Fellow Awards may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the Career Development Program-Fellow Awards provides 3 years of salary support for top-performing postdoctoral fellows and instructors who are preparing to become blood cancer researchers. Applicants should be engaging in basic, clinical, or translational research to help understand and treat hematologic malignancies and relevant premalignant conditions. The maximum award recipients can earn per year is $70,000. The minimum stipend/salary going directly to the awardee is $65,000/year. The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans are funded by Paul and Daisy Soros, Hungarian immigrants and American philanthropists who established the program to "give back to the country that had afforded their family such great opportunities."  Through this scholarship, they hope to help continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans achieve leadership in their chosen fields and partake of the American dream. Each year, their Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans award up to $90,000 to multiple students under 30 years of age who are applying to graduate or professional school and are immigrants or the children of immigrants. The application for the 2025-26 academic year is open and due by October 31, 2024. Selection criteria focuses on accomplishments that show creativity, originality, and initiative and  is open to college seniors, students applying to graduate school, and those who are in the early stages of graduate school. All applicants must be planning to be enrolled full-time in an accredited graduate program in the US in the 2025-26 academic year. In addition, applicants must be 30 or younger as of the application deadline. The National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program is seeking qualified applicants who are (1) US citizens or nationals, (2) providers in the Medicare, Medicaid, or State Children's Health Insurance Program, and (3) fully trained and licensed to practice in an NHSC-eligible primary care medical, dental, or mental/behavioral health discipline and in the state in which you are applying to serve. Each year, the program annually awards up to $75,000 and $37,500, respectively, to applicants willing to commit to a full-time or half-time two-year service commitment at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). Applicants must be current director-level members of the School Nutrition Association, who have been members of SNA for at least one year (since at least January 1 of last year) and are responsible for directing the school nutrition program of the school district. Applications must represent the entire school district's equipment needs. Applications will be reviewed for need, plans to integrate new equipment, and how the new equipment will impact schools' nutrition programs. These scholarships aim to help U.S. citizens with financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income) attend college at a lower cost, awarding between $10,000 and $52,000 each.
