The National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program is seeking qualified applicants who are (1) US citizens or nationals, (2) providers in the Medicare, Medicaid, or State Children’s Health Insurance Program, and (3) fully trained and licensed to practice in an NHSC-eligible primary care medical, dental, or mental/behavioral health discipline and in the state in which you are applying to serve. Each year, the program annually awards up to $75,000 and $37,500, respectively, to applicants willing to commit to a full-time or half-time two-year service commitment at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). Applicants must also have qualified student loan debt.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) mission is to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans, by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services.
In addition to meeting the below eligibility criteria, interested students must be willing to commit to a two-year service commitment at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), in the case that they are selected for the scholarship.

Applicants must (1) be fully trained and licensed to practice in the NHSC-eligible discipline and state in which they are applying to serve and (2) be health professionals in an eligible discipline with qualified student loan debt for education that led to their degree(s).
