Are you a Black or African American college student in the Washington metropolitan area? If so, you may be eligible for the Richard B. Watkins Scholarship! The scholarship is open to Black students studying public relations, marketing, graphic design, etc., who are attending university in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, D.C. Collins + Co, a public relations and marketing agency, offers the scholarship to honor Richard B. Watkins’ legacy of supporting others.
Thus, the scholarship aims to continue that support for others, by selecting four recipients to win $5,000 to use towards their studies, every scholarship cycle. Recipients are also offered an immersive two-week apprenticeship with the company in their field of study. Eligibility information
This scholarship is open to Black or African American students obtaining their degrees in public relations, marketing, graphic design, social media, or related fields. They must also attend an institution in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, DC, and meet the below eligibility requirements.
