Are you a second-through-fourth-year medical student in the U.S. who is part of an underrepresented minority group? If so, consider applying for the NMF Emergency Scholarship Fund! This scholarship is open to second-, third-, and fourth-year underrepresented medical students currently enrolled in accredited medical or osteopathic medicine schools located in the US. Applicants must also be experiencing financial need that prevents or severely hinders them from continuing their medical education. The scholarship is funded by the National Medical Fellowships, a nonprofit organization in the United States that provides scholarships and support for underrepresented students in medicine and the health professions. It awards between $2,000 and $5,000 in financial assistance to help lucky students pay for their medical school expenses. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a second-year, third-year, or fourth-year underrepresented student enrolled in accredited medical or osteopathic medicine schools in the U.S. Applicants must also demonstrate strong financial need and meet the below eligibility requirements.
