Are you a Black college junior attending a UNCF member institution in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Virginia? Further, are you majoring in STEM, business, or sustainability-related disciplines? If so, the HBCU – Sustainable Communities Initiative may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the initiative awards $5,000 to multiple Black college juniors at UNCF member institutions in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia who are studying eligible fields. Preference will be given to students majoring in Agriculture, Engineering, Technology, Environmental & Conservation Sciences, Sustainability Studies, City/Community/Urban Planning, Architecture, Applied Sciences, Information Technologies, or Business Administration. The scholarship can be renewed for up to one year if recipients meet renewal requirements.
