The Haz La U (Make the U) college grant program was created by Colgate, in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, to provide financial support for college-bound, Hispanic high school seniors. To be eligible, applicants must be graduating from high school this upcoming Spring, have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale, must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in the upcoming school year, be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines), and be a U.S. permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or qualify under the DACA. Students should also have a demonstrated interest or passion in one of the following fields: Community Service, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Business, Green Sustainability, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Public Service & Social Justice, or Technology.
