Are you a budding jazz musician living in Fairfield County, Connecticut? If so, we strongly encourage you to apply for the Micky Golomb Memorial Scholarship! The Jazz Society of Fairfield County offers up to $10,000 for tuition assistance to students expressing financial need and dedicated to pursuing a career in jazz performance and/or jazz education. It is open to instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers. The $10,000 scholarship may be awarded to a single recipient or split among finalists, in the form of tuition paid directly to the educational institution. To be eligible, applicants must be high school seniors or college freshman living in Fairfield County and enrolled (or planning to enroll) in a music degree program at an institution of higher education. About Micky Golomb Myron “Micky” Golomb was a well-regarded saxophonist, educator and habitué of the Jazz Society’s Thursday evening sessions.
