The “Nickels for Notes” Music Scholarship is open to Massachusetts high school seniors or home-schooled seniors who will be attending an institution of higher education and majoring in Piano, Instrument, Music Education, Music Therapy, or Voice. To apply, interested students should provide a link to a performance of theirs, a personal statement detailing their goals, a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or music instructor (original on school letterhead), and an official transcript of their high school grades. The General Federation of Women's Clubs, since it was founded in 1890, has been a unifying force, bringing together local women's clubs from around the country and throughout the world. Although there is considerable diversity in the ages, interests, and experiences of GFWC clubwomen, all are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.
