The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

The scholarship is funded by The Sperry and Hutchinson Company, an organization led by the Beinecke brothers who shared a deep affection and interest in leading a company that set the pace for corporate philanthropy. Fulbright Canada and Carleton University have established dedicated research chairs in support of educational programming and research. This opportunity will allow extraordinary American scholars and top-tier applied researchers to spend one academic year as a visiting research scholar working in a targeted area of academic inquiry. Eligible topics of inquiry include the Arts and Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship and/or Social Innovation, Environmental Science, Society, Policy, and Media. Applicants are encouraged to contact their preferred host institution to discuss research interests. Eligible applicants must have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree, and submit a Project Statement, a CV or Resume, and two Letters of Recommendation. The Persons Case Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for those studying in the arts, humanities, and social sciences fields to advance gender equality. This scholarship is open to women, men, and gender-diverse individuals who are Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Persons who are residents of or currently residing in Alberta. Undergraduate applicants must be registered (full or part-time) students in an approved Alberta post-secondary institution, while graduate applicants must be Alberta residents who are registered (full or part-time) in a graduate program in Alberta or elsewhere. Indigenous students, racialized students and students living with a disability are strongly encouraged to apply.
