The Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship Program is open to all students ages 13 to 20. Students enter by submitting their innovative STEM and STEAM projects. All projects are judged by experts in the fields of technology, entrepreneurship, and education. Over 55 scholarships have been awarded since 2014!
Who is eligible to apply for the Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship Program?
The award is open to individuals and small teams, ages 13 to 20, who create an innovative technical or scientific project.
Submission Requirements
All applicants submit application materials, including the recommendation form, by the closing date as specified on the web site. All project submissions must contain the following:
- A completed application form, which is found online
- A picture, video or website of their project
- If under 18, the applicant (or all underage team members) must obtain and submit a parental/guardian consent form.
- Affirmation that the submission does not infringe upon copyright law or the intellectual property of an uncredited party.
A completed recommendation form, found on the website, is optional.
PLEASE NOTE: A video, photo or website of the functioning project is required.
Applicants must submit at least a working prototype (or complete business plan if the product is experiential), but more developed products will be more carefully considered.
What is the value of the Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship Program?
Winners will receive a $1,000 cash scholarship. In addition, they will receive an invitation to attend an all-expense-paid trip for them and one family member to CES 2020 in Las Vegas for an awards ceremony. Winners also receive some pretty cool technology gifts, such as phones and notebook computers!
