Today’s scholarship is the LeTendre Education Fund from the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth. As you may imagine, the NAEHCY is an organization that is dedicated to education for homeless children. Additionally, the NAEHCY provides scholarship opportunities for students who are homeless or who have been homeless. This scholarship was established through the LeTendre Education Fund for Homeless Children
Completed scholarship applications must include:
- The actual scholarship application
- Essay (about 1,000 words–should discuss the impact of homelessness on the student’s life and their desire to attend college.
- A school transcript (including class rank, if possible)
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or other adult that can discuss the student’s experience/qualification (students can certainly submit more recommendations)
