Are you a college student interested in broadcast journalism? The Alexander M. Tanger Scholarship is being offered by the Broadcast Education Association (BEA). This is a $5,000 award, and is one of fourteen scholarships administered annually by BEA.
Eligibility
According to the scholarship website:
“The applicant should be able to show substantial evidence of superior academic performance and potential to be an outstanding electronic media professional. There should be compelling evidence that the applicant possesses high integrity and a well-articulated sense of personal and professional responsibility.”
The Alexander M. Tanger Scholarship is specifically open to students studying in any area of broadcast journalism. Scholarships will be awarded for full-time degree work for the full academic year. One semester grants are not made. Scholarships must be used exclusively for tuition, student fees, university bookstore course purchases, dormitory and related items eligible to be charged to a student’s official campus account.
