We’re All About Cats is proud to announce the second annual “A Voice for Cats” Essay Contest scholarship. According to their website, they “invite students to submit their essays on feline welfare and the humane treatment of cats.” The committee selects one outstanding student who volunteers at an animal rescue as the scholarship winner. In addition, the winning essay is published on the blog and accredited to the author. This award is doubly nice because the winner receives a $1,000 scholarship for themselves, and also, another $1,000 will be donated to the animal rescue organization of their choice!
Who is eligible to apply for the “A Voice For Cats” Essay Contest?
- The student must have a background volunteering or working at an animal rescue organization for at least 20 hours
- Students currently enrolled or beginning college in the fall semester 2021
- Applicants must be permanent residents of the United States
- Students must submit an essay that responds to the prompt
How do you apply for this scholarship?
Applicants are to submit an essay of 300 to 500 words about feline welfare and the humane treatment of cats. Specific essay submission directions are on the “Voice for Cats” website.
