    Manhattanville University is a private liberal arts institution dedicated to academic excellence, purposeful education, and social justice.

    For three years in a row, “U.S. News and World Report” has ranked Manhattanville the number one private, non-profit institution in New York among Top Performers of Social Mobility in Regional Universities North.

    Located 30 miles from New York City on a 100-acre suburban campus in the heart of Westchester County, Manhattanville enables easy access to entertainment offerings, educational resources, and business opportunities for its primarily residential and diverse student body.

    The university serves more than 1,300 undergraduate students and nearly 1,000 graduate students from more than 44 countries and 33 states. Founded in 1841, the university offers more than 75 undergraduate and graduate areas of study in the arts and sciences, education, nursing and health sciences, business, and creative writing, as well as continuing and executive education programs. Graduate students can choose from over 70 graduate and certificate programs. Extracurricular offerings include more than 45 clubs and activities and 22 NCAA Division III teams.

    Fall Open House

    We are excited to welcome prospective students and their loved ones to our Open House events! Meet with faculty from undergraduate programs, learn about our NCAA Division III athletic teams, meet student representatives from several student clubs and organizations, tour our picturesque 100 acre campus, and meet with representatives in student affairs to learn about the many service-learning opportunities and activities that our residential and commuter students participate in.

A visit to our scenic campus is about more than strolling through the lush quad designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, gazing at historic Reid Castle, or learning more about our renovated facilities. It is an opportunity to see our dynamic community and imagine your place in it.

    Campus Tours and Information Sessions

    We offer prospective undergraduate and graduate students many opportunities to schedule a campus visit. In addition to in-person and virtual tours, we provide information sessions for specific schools, transfer students, and graduate students.

    Located only 30 miles from New York, our campus is accessible via car or public transportation. A few things to note:

    Campus tours run during the week, at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
    Available for undergraduate and graduate students.
    In-person tours last approximately 2 hours and include an information session.
    We also offer virtual information sessions for select programs, including nursing students and doctoral programs.

    Castle Honors Scholars Program

    The Castle Scholars Honors Program seeks to cultivate a community of scholars who are not only intellectually accomplished but also socially responsible, compassionate, and driven to make a positive impact on the world. By integrating academic excellence, community engagement, and interdisciplinary inquiry, Manhattanville aspires to empower our honors students to become leaders and change-makers in their chosen fields and beyond.

    Admission to the Castle Scholars Honors Program is highly selective and is typically limited to incoming first-year students with exceptional academic records (a high school GPA of 3.9 or better). Special scholarship funding is available for honors students.
