The VAMOS Scholarship annually awards $3,000 and $5,000 (per year, for four years), respectively, to Pell-Grant-eligible, college-bound Hispanic high school seniors who will be attending the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley and such students who will be attending any other institution. To qualify, students must reside in Hidalgo, Starr, or Cameron County, and plan to enroll as full-time students for four academic years at a U.S.-accredited college or university.
