The Underrepresented Minority Gateway to Research Awards are funded by the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education, an organization that advances and supports pharmaceutical sciences education at U.S. schools and colleges of pharmacy by awarding fellowships and grants, recognizing and supporting talented students and faculty, and encouraging exceptional students to pursue advanced degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Each year, their “Underrepresented Minority Gateway to Research Awards” grants $5,000 to multiple underrepresented minority pharmacy students currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
