The Fellowship of Graduate Student Travel (FGST) provides student funds for travel and other expenses at distant research laboratories, museums, or field sites. The primary purpose is to help recipients travel to distant research sites to conduct fieldwork, learn specialized techniques, or to utilize unique equipment or collections. Applicants must be graduate students who are active members of any SICB (Society for Integrative & Comparative Biology) division. Each year, 3-4 awards worth up to $2,000 each are granted to eligible students.

The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB)'s mission is to foster research, education, public awareness and understanding of living organisms from molecules and cells to ecology and evolution. SICB encourages interdisciplinary cooperative research that integrates across scales, and new models and methodologies to enhance research and education.
