Are you a current or incoming undergraduate student of Indigenous American descent who is a resident of Montana? Further, do you have a love for music and will be pursuing a degree in it? If so, the NVMS American Indian Music Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards $500 to two (2) applicants who submit the best 500-1,000-word personal statements about why music is important to them, their future goals, and why they deserve this scholarship. In addition, interested students must submit a cover letter, resume, transcript, and one letter of recommendation in order to apply. If you’re a Montana resident and current/incoming undergraduate student of Indigenous American descent, and you are pursuing a degree in music, we encourage you to apply! North Valley Music School is a community-based, intergenerational music school. They were formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization in 1997 and teach over 500 students annually from babies to adults through private lessons, group classes, summer camps, and workshops.
