Are you a Navajo student are pursuing either a bachelors or graduate degree in a field relating to the multi-service utility industry such as business, accounting, engineering, chemistry, computer science and informatics? If so, you may be eligible for the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards $2,000/year to multiple Navajo students pursuing a degree and career related to the multi-service utility industry. NTUA started out in 1959 as a small water utility in Shiprock, New Mexico. In decades since, NTUA has grown into the largest multi-utility enterprise owned and operated by an American Indian tribe. NTUA is proud of its history and celebrates its progress. As a not-for-profit enterprise of the Navajo Nation, NTUA provides electric, water, wastewater, natural gas, solar energy, and communications services. They also take deep pride in their work and have the commitment to serve the multi-utility needs of the Navajo Nation. In Navajo, the phrase “Niandeiilnish” means “We work for You”. In keeping with that principle, NTUA works for the People with teamwork and respect.
