If so, consider applying for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate scholarship! This scholarship is open to current and incoming college students from low income backgrounds who are committed to careers in health-related research. The scholarship is funded by the NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education, an organization that helps individuals prepare and develop their skills in the biomedical research field. Each academic year, the scholarship awards up to $20,000 to help lucky recipients pay for their educational expenses and reasonable living expenses. Applicants should demonstrate exceptional financial need as certified by their undergraduate institution’s financial aid office.
