NASA’s VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program provides awards to college juniors and seniors enrolled in a program of study in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) who have a specific faculty-mentored research project that has NASA or aerospace relevance. Applicants must be attending one of the following five Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions: Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, William & Mary, or Hampton University.
Applicants’ research proposals must be aligned with NASA’s mission, should be 2 to 3 pages long (not including references), and clearly describe the research objective and methodology. The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) is a coalition of five Virginia colleges and universities, NASA, state educational agencies, Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology, and other institutions representing diverse aerospace education and research.
