Are you a Montana resident and undergraduate student who (1) is of at least one-fourth (1/4) degree Indian blood or (2) is an enrolled member of a state or federally-recognized Indian tribe in the state of Montana? If so, you may be eligible for the Montana University System American Indian Undergraduate Tuition Waiver! Each year, multiple eligible recipients who are of Native American descent or members of a tribe within Montana are selected to receive tuition waivers. The Montana University System is a state agency and a division of the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education that administers the Montana University System Honor Scholarship, GEAR UP Scholarships and other state grants and work study programs.
This scholarship is open to students meeting the below eligibility criteria.
Applicants must (1) have at least one-fourth (1/4) degree Indian blood or (2) be enrolled members of a state recognized or federally recognized Indian tribe which is located within the boundaries of the State of Montana.
